As a school, we understand young people only get one chance to experience school-life and our aim is very simple: to support them to grow into confident and independent learners with high aspirations, a love of learning and strong community values.

Yesterday, Birchwood High School proudly welcomed over 250 enthusiastic Year 5 students for an unforgettable Primary Progression Day.![]()

The event was designed to give students a real taste of high school life and help ease any worries about the move up to secondary school.![]()

It was a pleasure to meet everyone. The students were exceptionally polite, well mannered, and took part in every activity with great enthusiasm. ![]()

Throughout the day, students got involved in a wide range of exciting activities, both indoors and outdoors. They tackled science challenges, explored maths and geography, took part in a drama workshop, and enjoyed PE on our astro pitch. Outdoors, they tested their skills with axe throwing, bumper balls, and the climbing wall.![]()
