Examination Results

Birchwood Community High School are proud to announce the achievements of our Year 11 students in this year’s GCSE examinations. Despite facing significant challenges over the past few years, including the tragic loss of a beloved classmate last August, our students have demonstrated remarkable resilience, dedication, and maturity. It is these attributes that we are most proud of them for.

This year’s results reflect not just their academic commitment but the strength of character and determination that our students have shown in the face of adversity. The way our students have supported each other, and their commitment to their studies, is truly commendable.

  • 63% pass rate in English.
  • 66% pass rate in Maths.
  • 100% pass rate in Acting and Dance with 40% of students achieving a Level 2 Distinction in both subjects.
  • 50% of students who sat Spanish achieved a grade 7 or above with nearly 30% gaining a grade 9.
  • 83% pass rate in Physical Education with over 40% achieving the top grades.
